The Passenger Information System (PIS) is a system that utilizes reliable network technology, multimedia transmission techniques, and advanced image-display technologies to deliver specific information to passengers at designated locations and timeframes along metro lines. Additionally, it enables the seamless transmission of passenger information to operations management personnel. The PIS supports a wide range of functionalities, including program production, provision of metro-related operational and informational services, broadcast programming, live content insertion, real-time multimedia news updates, intelligent signal distribution, data transmission, and even video surveillance.
The in-vehicle local area network system consists of three main components: the cab network section, the onboard LAN section, and the rear cab network section. The cab network section includes the onboard wireless network unit (comprising wireless devices and an onboard antenna), the onboard network switch, and the onboard video controller. Similarly, the rear cab network section also features the same components: the onboard wireless network unit (with wireless devices and an onboard antenna), the onboard network switch, and the onboard video controller. All cameras and displays within the车厢 are connected to the onboard LAN via the network switch.

System Overview
The Passenger Information System (PIS) has gained increasing popularity as related technologies like WLAN-based mobile communications continue to mature. It transforms once-dull, closed-off train compartments into smart, entertaining, and vibrant spaces—enhancing both the operational safety of trains and boosting passenger comfort. As the most direct information exchange platform between metro companies and passengers, the PIS not only displays essential text-based information such as boarding guidelines and train schedules within the carriages but also delivers real-time updates like stock market data, news, live sports events, and advertisements. In addition, in the event of emergencies—such as fires, congestion, or terrorist attacks—the system can provide dynamic, real-time evacuation alerts to ensure passenger safety.

Product Advantages
The IES3009 devices can be configured into self-healing ring or chain networks. In practical applications, if a section of the line experiences a fault, the network automatically switches over and restores itself. Additionally, the IES3009 supports power-off protection: when one node in the network loses power, the ES3009 unit automatically bypasses the faulty segment and reroutes traffic, ensuring uninterrupted operation of the remaining nodes. Furthermore, this product model has successfully passed EMC tests specific to the rail transit industry, making it well-suited for handling diverse and challenging real-world environments. For the highly demanding rail transit sector, where stability is critical, the IES3009 series provides users with exceptionally reliable communication security and peace of mind.
